Our Gunner Grips are +/- 5/32" (.156) thick, compared to the standard BM51 G-10 scales which are 1/8" (.125)
This gives the knife a much better feel in hand and fantastic grip!!
These Scales bring the standard 51 from 3.3 oz to 4.6 oz
 

The Ti-51 Replacement Scales are a project I've been working on with Duane at EDC Knives.

The Benchmade Model 51 is a decent knife and has a lot going for it; Clip Point Utility Blade, Kicker Spring Latch and Pocket Clip. But at 3.3 oz it was just too light for most peoples' taste.

We took a Benchmade 51--With Full Permission From The Factory--and replicated the G-10 scales in 6AL-4V Titanium.
The BM51-Ti flips much better and feels like a much more substantial knife overall.
